Pikaland: The Dailies@DFM

I’m still in Kyoto — but I forgot to let you know that I shared with readers of Design for Mankind about my day, which I have to admit, is now a little more focused on Pikaland.

This isn’t a necessarily bad thing — there was bound to be more time spent at my new project, and I have enjoyed bonding with the lovely artists that I previously could only have admired from a distance. And this leaves me wanting to improve myself, and to pick up a pen again and to wander about, even if I’m seemingly lost.

Pikaland: The Dailies@DFM

I was wondering about how I am going to post over at two places at the same time, but then I realized that there can be a division. And there should be, at times. Over here at re:makeables, I’ve grown by experimenting — with work, at play, and at illustrating. Although I’ve thought about whether I should keep one or the other, I think that I shouldn’t necessarily have to choose.

Because I grew up with re:makeables, I’m going to continue documenting my journey here. I have to admit that although the slow and unconscious drift from crafting to art is something that surprised even myself, I still find myself drawn towards fabrics and notions, and the act of creating. There is so much to share, and the past few months have been exhausting — that the thought of being able to write again makes me feel all tingly and excited.

A blog revamp is in the works. What do you say? ;)
