Sometimes I forget why I have a blog, but the biggest mission of all was a place for me to keep my links—sort of a linking blog journal, or even a scrapbook for myself about my thoughts and processes.

A few new online shops popped up — there’s the Shiny Squirrel, and I love looking at Creative Thursday’s prints on Twig. Marisa Haedike’s Creative Thursdays is chock full of lovely illustrations.

There’s a lovely illustrator that I would love to see more from — Joanna Rutter (one of the many sweeties that has been linking to my blog).

Made It has Amy Borrell’s lovely stuff (I can’t get Chika out of my mind! :)

Lynda just came back from Chicago, and has beautiful letter-sets in her shop.

Ayumi from ApakStudio’s (who has their etsy store right here has a wonderful sense of imagination and style.

I also love Blanca Gomez’s Cosaminimas illustration: so retro and homely! Her moleskin project is a great idea too.

Illustration Friday is holding an Open Competition for their first ever gallery show in collaboration with Open Books — 25 winners by vote will showcase their original art there. I think I’ll try this one out. :)
Well doggone it, it’s official that I hang out (or aspire to) with the wrong crowd. Hmmm.
